Rayat Shikshan Sanstha is one of the largest educational institutions in Asia. It was founded in 1919 by Late Padmbhushan Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil, who worked with the noble aim of integrating socially and economically underprivileged communities into the mainstream through education. In recognition of his immense contribution to the field of education, the Government of India honoured him with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award. Currently, Rayat Shikshan Sanstha operates an impressive network of 751 branches, which includes 42 colleges, 441 secondary schools, 7 training colleges, 52 primary schools (24 of which are English-medium), 42 pre-primary schools (28 English-medium), 91 hostels, 7 administrative offices, 8 Ashramshalas, 3 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), 52 ancillary branches, and one research institute. About Department of Statistics
The Department of Statistics was established in the year 1965, offering two major courses B.Sc in Statistics and M.Sc. in Statistics. Apart from degree programme in Statistics department also offers diploma, advanced diploma, skill, value added, capsule and add on courses in various Statistical Software’s. The thrust areas of research in the department are Operation Research, Supply Chain Management, Inventory control, Statistical Process control, Biostatistics, Modelling etc. We are offering the trending papers like Clinical Trials, Actuarial Statistics and Population study to post graduate students which leads our students in global market. The department having computer laboratory with high configuration computer and digital class rooms to fulfil the student’s need of advance education.
About Department of Data Science
Department of Data Science established in 2022, is the biggest of its kind in the Karmveer Bhavurao Patil University, Satara imparting knowledge of Data Science. The department is enriched with 10 faculties for teaching, extracurricular activities, research, extension activities and sufficient supportive staff. B.Sc. Data Science start from 2023 and MSc Data Science start from 2022.
About Department of Artificial Intelligence
The Department of Artificial Intelligence at Yashavantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara was established in 2023. The department offers academic programs aimed at developing strong theoretical and practical knowledge in Artificial Intelligence. It focuses on creating a complete ecosystem for teaching, learning, and research in AI. The department aims to prepare students to become leaders in AI industry and academia at national and international levels. It also addresses the growing demand for AI professionals across various application domains. The B. Sc Artificial Intelligence is a 3-year undergraduate bachelor’s degree program. The course provides comprehensive knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
